THESSALONIKI, Greece (AP) A missing British hiker whose dismembered, fleshless remains were found in the hills of northern Greece was probably attacked by wolves while walking alone on a remote path, then torn apart and devoured, a Greek coroner said after an autopsy Wednesday.
Coroner Nikos Kifnidis told the Associated Press that both the womans thigh bones had been cracked open by bites and large sections of her body are still missing. He said a veterinarian at Wednesdays autopsy in the town of Komotini confirmed that no dog or jackal could have administered such bites.

Not really.
Wolf attacks in Europe were common until they finally got smart and almost wiped out the wolves.
Then wolf attacks became uncommon.
The same thing happened in the states, there was a push to wipe out the dangerous predators and attacks became rare.
Now they are supporting the return of the wolves to these populated areas and the inevitable is happening.
Wolf attacks are on the up swing.

Humans are only at the top of the food chain because of tools.
Never go into wilderness without appropriate tools
If you live in county with bears and wolves and don’t carry a side arm then you are foolish. That is what they are for. Not just for plinking.
Yeah they don’t usually attack and kill humans like that. Maybe she was dead or dying from something else before they got her?
My guess she was scavenged.
Even at that a side arm will not always be enough to fend off a wolf pack.
