THESSALONIKI, Greece (AP) A missing British hiker whose dismembered, fleshless remains were found in the hills of northern Greece was probably attacked by wolves while walking alone on a remote path, then torn apart and devoured, a Greek coroner said after an autopsy Wednesday.
Coroner Nikos Kifnidis told the Associated Press that both the womans thigh bones had been cracked open by bites and large sections of her body are still missing. He said a veterinarian at Wednesdays autopsy in the town of Komotini confirmed that no dog or jackal could have administered such bites.

Oh, I looked it up.
And his hair was perfect
Yes, winter came for this poor lady.
Ouch. I hope that she was at least unconsious right off.
The rarity depends on the population of wolves. If the wolf population is sparse, then attacks will be rare. If the wolf population grows, the packs get larger and more aggressive and humans are on the menu until the humans get together and knock the population back down.
We only think wolf attacks are rare because our forbearers were very good at keeping the population down. Now that a large portion of the people are soft and easily swayed by PETA the populations will go up, and attacks on humans with it. Aggressive predators must be constantly taught that humans are the apex of the food chain.
“There wolf.”
My take, many people have a naive view of the wilderness. Like it’s a playground.
It’s the wild snowflakes, there are no safe spaces! Unless you hike in groups and/or have some basic knowledge & survival skills (and protection) you are putting yourself at risk.
“Beware Wolfn’s! Beware! Beware!”
Yeah ... a Go(away)FundMe-type thing...
Walking alone on a remote path. Bet she only had her iphone for protection. Buy a clue.
Worst movie ever. Let’s make a movie about making the wrong decision in every situation. Oh, and we’ll make every other word the F word.
in fact, they were wolves ... was there a full moon?
When food gets real short, wolves will eat each other. I ran across evidence of that while deer hunting in SE Alaska years ago.
Walking through Soho in the rain?
When there were more wolves there were more attacks on people. There is a reason our ancestors did everything they could to wipe out wolves.
Wolves killed and ate a guy in Saskatchewan a couple of years ago too.
Are they sure it wasnt the muslims?
