This doom and gloom panic paranoia has got to stop.
They blow they blow. Aint nothing you,I or anyone else can do.
Yellowstone, for instance has had several small eruptions in the past. As to that system, it does NOT mean that there will be a super eruption at all.
I can see why the USGS has to limit access to its sensor systems. There are people on the net now that take the first chance they get to get people all worked up over these things.
We will not see a super eruption at Yellowstone during our lifetime, and if we do, it will be a global extinction event.
The Long Valley caldera is a larger concern....BY FAR.
Who’s doomin’ & gloomin’?
It’s a post, make of it what you will. If you want to believe all will be well - so be it. They call that ostrich syndrome.
Both Rainier and Yellowstone have had very abnormal quake swarms over the past few months. It’s cause enough for the press to write dozens upon dozens of write ups on it. It’s also enough for NASA to want to get involved in Yellowstone.
Every time there is an above average earthquake, or a more powerful than usual hurricane, or a volcano possibly erupting you can bet Roman_War_Criminal will be shouting that it’s the end of the world from the rooftops.
You can’t get through to him, either. Unfortunately.
