Comey was trying to investigate Giuliani earlier in the year.

During the campaign, Rudy made a comment that there was more stuff coming.

This was taken to mean that somebody in the FBI had leaked information to Giuliani.

Even if it were true, did that mean Comey had to investigate Clinton again?

Did Rudy somehow make it impossible for Comey not to investigate?

And if there was come collusion or connection between Giuliani and Comey last year, then why was Comey talking about investigating Rudy this year?

During the campaign, Rudy made a comment that there was more stuff coming. This was taken to mean that somebody in the FBI had leaked information to Giuliani.

Remember that the NYPD had possession of Anthony Weiner's laptop and they knew damn well what was coming even though they turned it over to the FBI. When I heard Giuliani's comment I figured he got his information from the NYPD, not the FBI.

There's no doubt in my mind that the NYPD kept copies of all these files, too.
