Republicans decided Tuesday against bringing the Graham-Cassidy healthcare bill to the floor for a vote, a GOP aide told Business Insider, effectively killing the GOP's Obamacare repeal push for the foreseeable future.
Sens. Lindsey Graham and Bill Cassidy said during a press conference with GOP Senate leaders that there were not enough votes to pass the measure.
"Well to be clear, due to events under our control and not under out control, we do not have the votes," Cassidy said.

Let it collapse. There are no new funds available.
Kabuki...is all this was. They will never get rid of obamacare.
Thank McCain and Lyn Ted.
Vote them out. We have the power, but before the next vote I say make them squirm.
It was a scam from the very first GOP fund-raising phone call and junk mail begging for money to overturn Obamacare.
When they asked you to contribute, the GOP should get nothing but used toilet paper.
Time for Trump to cancel all the waivers. If Congress thinks Bozocare is so great for the rest of the country, it should also be imposed on Congress and their staffs, as the law was originally intended.
...and all the unions...SEIU comes to mind.
was crap anyway.
Just send Trump the same darn thing you sent Obama!!
HOW FREAKING HARD IS THAT!?!?!?
The leadership of Mitch McConnell is epic.
I hate to say it, but that the waivers are still in place forces me to wonder why.
What Obama care? Have never got it. And never paid a fine. And will never ever pay taxes again to these corrupt communist.
McConnell wins again, and gets to blame it all on the leftist ladies from Maine and Alaska, and doddering “maverick” in Arizona. If McConnell wanted it passed, it would have passed. The fact that McCain is still Chairman of the Armed Services Committee, Collins is still Chairwoman of the Committee on Aging, and Murkowski is still Chair of the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, says it all. They voted no with the permission of McConnell and the entire GOPe Senate leadership team.
With an assured Obama veto, they had nothing to lose by sending things to him. Now that it counts, there is the possibility that a lot of constituents, especially in some of the non-red meat states, could be impacted.

Supposedly, according to Trump, he’s been on the phone yelling at Senators to pass SOMETHING. Apparently he didn’t make a good case to close the deal. So much for 3D or whatever level chess he is credited with playing.
I agree.
Obamacare has become the 3rd rail of politics like Social Security was and still is.
You get the horror show of the no longer insured and the horror of pre-existing conditions.
Once the entitlement jeanie is out of the bottle, becomes impossible to put them back.
All about personal power and re-election. People come in 3rd behind re-election and big lobbyist donors.
Vote them out and fix how campaigns are financed.
1-No PACs
2-No Corporate or Union donations
3-No Foreign donations
4-Max what an individual can donate cash wise, but they can donate all their time.
“...Kabuki...is all this was. They will never get rid of obamacare....”
Yep. Just theatratrics in order to say to the “unwashed masses”...”we tried”.
Well, guess what, you SOBs. The “unwashed masses” ain’t buying it.
Either these jerks do what they were voted in to do, or get to hell out of the UniParty and let a real Patriot that loves and represents America take over. These POSs make millions under the table in DC. They’re there to line their own pockets and could care less about the “unwashed masses” they’re supposed to be representing. Maybe at some point down the road when their neck is finally in a guillotine, they’ll wish they had.
