A huge arsenal of weapons including shotguns and more than 6,000 rounds of ammunition was found at a Midlands home.

Police say the collection which was hoarded by Jonathan Knight posed a 'significant risk to the public'.

Officers from the National Crime Agency's armed operations unit descended on a house in Sunfield Road, Cannock after suspecting weapons fanatic, Jonathan Knight had been collecting firearms illegally.

Three air pistols, a pair of air rifles, a ME38 revolver, two sound moderators and a huge amount of ammunition was discovered at the 47-year-old's home.

Now that 22LR is getting more plentiful, it’s time to empty it out of the safe and put the guns back in.

Jon Greenwell from the National Crime Agency said although Jonathan didn’t seem to be selling the illegal firearms, the risk of them being stolen or sold to criminals posed a danger to the public.

“However as a firearms enthusiast and former license holder Knight was well aware of the risks posed by his weapons and the requirement to obtain the correct license or surrender them immediately.

“His collection posed a significant risk to the public had it been stolen or sold to criminals,” he added.

WOW! Britain sucks BIGTIME!!

Oh my. I can understand the concern over the shotgun and ant revolver, but all the pictures of the ammo were for center fire cartridge rifles and they only captured air rifles and air pistols which don’t shoot rifle cartridges. The shotguns and the revolver also don’t shoo rifle cartridges.

So how was he a danger to society? Just asking.

We were in Vegas a couple yrs ago. I started talking to a couple from the UK and asked them what they thought about firearms. They were visibly shaken at the thought of a gun. I reached into my pocket and stripped a shell from my spare mag and handed it to them. I told them that probably half the population of Vegas were carrying now and no one was getting shot. The got up and said they were headed back to the airport to leave yet that night.

heh. 6,000 rounds of .223 would easily fit in a bedroom dresser. 6” X 6” X 20” guessing, per case, per 1,000 rounds.’

Think about .22LR. What might that look like?
