I worked in a military organization where we had this female major, who was a long-distance runner. She’d typically run six miles everyday at an extended lunch. We had an extremely bad weather day and I was standing at the building door debating to skip lunch, and she was about to exit. I asked...was it really necessary to go and run this distance in this type of weather. She admitted it was rough, but physiologically...she was now addicted to this every single day. If she attempted to skip it...she’d have anxiety issues and get forced into running the six miles at 8 at night.

I’ve bumped into a couple of people (men and women) who were 200-mile per month type runners. They all had some form of anxiety and this was the only method of controlling their lives. The ‘pooper’ gal sounds like one of these.

I was a runner for 35 years and within a year of being (medically) forced to become a walker, I was diagnosed with anxiety. Who knew?

I know the type. Men and women both, Some kind of mental disorder. Running from something...probably themselves. Tend to be vegetarians, bulemic, anorexic, anal, OCD, etc. One can easily shit oneself under these circumstances,
