People giving Alejandro crap misunderstand the kind of person he is.

This guy carried a dying solider off the battle field while he was being shot at. The guy died in the chopper during evac and he blamed himself for not getting him to safety faster.

He is a humble and selfless man that is embarrassed this has been made about him. He never said he was embarrassed he stood. He’s speaking from a place that not a lot of people understand.

I’m so proud of him and proud that he’s the last beacon of hope on a team that I used to root for.

Interestingly, he plays for the Steelers. More than any other team, this is one whose fans will not tolerate the kind of sh!t we saw last weekend.

There's a reason why Ben Roethlisberger has come out and publicly stated how ashamed he was of the whole thing. He knows the deal here. It's one thing to pull that kind of sh!t at a road game in Chicago, but I am willing to bet it is going to be a whole different story when they come home to "Deer Hunter Country" in western Pennsylvania next weekend.

Media kind of Cherry picking the Steelers, all 32 teams are guilty of this kneeling crap. Trump was right, and NFL rules state that you stand during the anthem. If Goodell had any guts he would fine players who refuse to stand but unfortunately he has none.

Agree, Just amazing how knuckleheads are condemning the one guy who did the right thing. The lib Steeler coach and owners will get rid of him this offseason. Bet on that.

I agree. Steelers are being singled out more so than other teams.

Goodell needs to go. I think he is part of a much bigger problem.

The Anti American Complex is big and organized. Apparently it has even caused a brave military vet to fearfully retreat.

By his demeanor I took away that he was clearly ordered to go out there and take a bullet for the team under threat of his career being over. Obviously it's okay to attack the free speech of a guy who refuses to protest. This is today's NFL.

Some wondered why they were stupid enough to not crack down on protests. Turns out they want all the players to engage in them and are pissed off when one says "nope".

The NFL should ban:

Most valuable player - all individual awards to athletes that excell!

To Pittsburgh Kneelers the collective is of primary importance!

You’re absolutely right! I live here in Western PA about an hour outside of Pittsburgh. The Steelers were more than the local/regional football team - much more. The Steelers were the embodiment of the heavily blue-collar, patriotic and hard-working mindset of the people of Western PA and Southeastern OH. I honestly believe that that attitude towards the “Stillers” died on Sunday.

I spoke with a number of diehard, longtime Steelers fans yesterday, last night and this morning and I cannot repeat here the vast majority of the comments I heard. Tomlin and his overpaid thugs have turned what was a devout love for a highly-successful, small-market team into something approaching vile hatred and they did so in the span of less than three minutes.

Somewhere I hope there’s a photo of him giving the “Hawaiian Good Luck” sign.

I said it on another thread and I’ll repeat it. Now is the time to plan a mass boycott of the NFL’s precious Super Bowl and its sponsors. Plan patriotic, family oriented activities for Sunday, February 4, 2018 instead. Call it Anthem day.
