Another coach showing his hatred of Trump and America. The San Antonio Spurs should pay a dear price for his mouth.

The media is turning everything into an attack against Trump. Meanwhile, we can see the direct protests of The Anthem beginning to stop just as he wanted.

Mr. Popovich is apparently NOT “embarrassed” by all the taxpayer money his team has been the beneficiary of from the city of San Antonio and the US taxpayer. Item: San Antonio residents ponied up an estimated $ 18 million for the Spurs facility; when told they could have the existing Alamodome, like a greedy bride, they said it was “too big”. Item: the US taxpayers gave $ 44 million in subsidies to the Spurs. For some reason, I thought San Antonio had a lot of poverty, with many poor Hispanic kids deprived of a good education due to lack of public funds. Why don’t you refuse public money, Mr. Popovich - Donald Trump doesn’t take a salary and has donated millions to hurricane victims, Vietnam veterans and other worthy causes. YOU, Sir, are the “embarrassment”.

Popovic, aka crater face, is nothing but a liberal hack and needs to stick to the only thing he knows - basketball. If he thinks getting involved in kneeling and disrespecting our flag in San Antonio, TX, he better think twice. It is a military city.

Remember that San Antonio has Fort Sam Houston. Joint Base San Antonio – Ft. Sam Houston is the Home of Military Medicine with San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), the Defense Department’s largest inpatient hospital and the military’s only Level 1 Trauma Center.

There is also Lackland Air Force Base. The 37th Training Wing, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, is the largest training wing in the United States Air Force. The wing operates nine schools throughout the country with most of the training of 90,000 students being held in San Antonio.

Don’t forget Randolph Air Force Base. Randolph is home to the 12th Flying Training Wing, the only unit in the Air Force conducting both pilot instructor training and combat systems officer training. In addition, the 12th FTW provides host-base support to more than 30 Department of Defense units, including HQ Air Education and Training Command, Air Force Personnel Center and Air Force Recruiting Service. The wing’s headquarters has been called the Taj Mahal due to its distinctive architecture and is listed on the US National Register of Historic Places.

Ya know, as a Rockets fan (but not an overly serious one since the Championship years), I’ve never had anything but respect for what the Spurs have accomplished under Popovich. So, I never really had a reason for a silly rivalry, and I pretty much rooted for them once the Rockets were eliminated. No longer. I hope we just murder them this year and every single year henceforth. I hope everybody does, too.

Black America is the embarrassment.

The situation has degenerated to the point that some Americans with very dark skin color must be segregated away from “Black America”

I wish there was a way to spend less on the NBA.
But my spending is already at zero along with my viewing time.
I am okay with that...actually pleased.

As has become abundantly clear, athletes only have a few places where they can be heard. On the playing field, or the court, is the biggest, as it is televised. During interviews is another.
I do not mind that they protest, I DO mind where they protest. I object that they FORCE their opinion in my face without my permission or acquiescence.
When they protest in this manner, I am not given equal time or exposure for my point of view on a national newscast.
This is their opinion only, and like all protest, there are two very valid sides to each.
Not discussed is, and we have all seen it in person, or on TV, people of all colors, behaving in an unacceptable manner when dealing with Police. They have killed police, attacked their vehicles while trying to get to them, Ignored their orders/instructions, the list goes on and on. This is certainly not all the time, but a cop only has one chance to save his life, but a trouble maker has many opportunities to hurt a cop.
Its about respect for the law, and the police.

My wife gave her son some great advice. When dealing with the police, be respectful, even when you feel wronged, follow instructions, and when its all done, you can pursue the matter after the incident with the police or an attorney. At the traffic stop is the wrong time to protest, be belligerent, or to be physical. When you do that, the cop will defend himself/herself, and surely with the option of deadly force.

There is a time and place for peaceful protest. There is a time and method in the courts to address wrongs. But there is no time when you die, or kill to make your point made.

“but it’s what we have to live with,” the coach said.”

That’s manure. No one has to live with anything here. Unlike other countries, you can leave any time you want. And there are jobs all over the world for your “profession” that are waiting for you.

I’m tired of people inciting others to complain about what they have, and not using those great capacities to do something about trying to fix something beyond their front door. Has anything changed, other than getting worse, about the separation we need to fix in this country racially since the athletes started this idiotic action of disrespecting the flag and the people that kept it alive? In a word, NO. Actually, the topic of their display has been swept aside and replaced with the message of their actions. Hardly anyone cares what their message is, just that they are disrespecting people doing it. Who wants to work with that? They don’t either as they have not tried.

Simply put, Popovich doesn’t speak for the world nor does he know what the world thinks. He is just one more arrogant liberal who thinks he speaks for more than himself. His opinion has no more value than anyone else. From a lot of his previous statements, he was totally blind to what went on under Obama and how the world seemed to view the US while Obama was president. We give these sports figures and hollywood types too much attention outside their area of expertise.

Spurs are dead to me.

Of course, I was already done with the NBA because of leftards everywhere and Mark “Hillary” Cuban.

But still ... Spurs were once my team.

Consider what is being revealed here: SPORTS people are saying that putting the love of country, and showing respect for it, is divisive and embarrassing the country. Opposing disrespect shown by sports people is divisive and embarrassing. You're choosing the wrong side, the President's priorities are wrong and they-the people who play games for a living and slap you in your face while expecting your money-are right. Let that sink in.

Even continuing this debate is putting football front and center in the news. I'm SICK of everything to do with football. Let colleges be about academics, not thuggish gladiators, and let professional football begone!
