A photo of U.S. Army infantry officer and West Point graduate Spenser Rapone was making its rounds online Monday due to the fact that – while in his uniform – Rapone had the words “Communism will win” scrawled inside of his cap. In the wake of the recent NFL protests, a West Point graduate and infantry officer tweeted out the following image with the caption: “#VeteransForKaepernick” – a disgusting display from an officer. LawNewz verified the legitimacy of the photograph with Rapone himself. He is currently in the field until Friday and unable to answer detailed questions.
One Twitter user noted that West Point cadets are “under contract with the DoD,” going on to state that Rapone’s actions are a “punishable offense under the UCMJ,” because Rapone is making political statements while in uniform:

I have noticed anecdotally that the last twenty five years of West Point grads has a disproportionate amount of liberals— striking because most Army officers are very conservative, but with WP grads during that period it seems 1/3 or more are socially very liberal (though most are still fiscally conservative), and unfortunately many of them are now becoming general officers. Over the last ten years, this trend seems to have gotten even worse, so I wonder what the hell is going on at West Point? What can we do to fix it?

Obama wrecked our military. The dwindling number of good people are soldiering on, despite the pathetic leadership that’s left after the Obama era purges, but they will succumb to the leadership environment eventually or they will leave.
I served on submarines in the 80s and one of the sailors once said the same thing as this army officer. Our LT, who was a very friendly and jovial guy, stopped and gave us all a very stern lecture on the evils of communism and why it is better to destroy the planet than to allow communism to win. I still agree with the LT today and I would still launch those missiles to prevent communism from enslaving mankind. But today, we would have to target many American cities to stop the spread of this cancer.

The USSR existed so long as it did because it stayed on a war footing and because it had a capitalist world from which to copy pricing and technology. It got a major boost with the conquest and stripping of Eastern Europe. Reagan finally pushed the USSR to its natural conclusion by accelerating the rate at which the USSR felt it necessary to expend (in misdirection) the last of the loot from Eastern Europe.
Seeing what they are teaching in college, he may be right. Communism may just win. I hope I don’t live to see it.
