Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore drew a handgun from his pocket during a campaign rally in Fairhope, Ala., Monday night.
"AL Senate favorite Roy Moore just pulled a real gun out of his pocket at his rally. No joke," Christina Wilkie from CNBC tweeted Monday night.
Steve Bannon, former White House chief strategist, appeared at the rally and has endorsed Moore.

When hand arthritis got so bad had to make a choice to move to a revolver, I could no longer rack or clean my automatic a Bersa 380. I now carry a Taurus Ultra Lite .38 as I am female with small hands so the butt size determined what I bought.
Revolvers don’t leave evidence ... just sayin’ ...
That Taurus is a nice gun. I used to carry one but sold it when we inherited a Lady Smith .38. Sentimental value and all that.
I carry one every day. What exactly am I doing wrong?
Well he won’t be able to do that in the Senate office building or in the Capitol.
I think we are all missing a very important point.
This gentleman needs a holster appropriate to his soon to be elective office.
I think it is a matter of state pride that the holster makers of Alabama, of which there are several, creates quality holsters for their high elected officials.
There should be a way of doing so openly, without creating any impression of impropriety or conflict of interest.
Perhaps as a donation to the state, through the state legislature and the governor, with the intention that such things are gifts *from the state* to their new senator.
In all fairness, a senator should get a complete set of boots and spurs, riding tack, a gun belt, open and concealed carry holster, revolver, pistol and rifle, and a hat appropriate to his state. All elaborately decorated as befits the office.
...what did he gain?

Well, he did a VERY effective VISUAL, reality-based dismissal of the lies the GOPe, open borders supporters of Strange were flooding the airways with. I hope Judge Moores simple act gets MASSIVE free television coverage in Alabama.
But did he admit to being a witch or not?...
**********************************
In response to your snarky comment, I believe his simple act has helped seal his run-off victory and will insure that he will be a witch killer in the Senate.
Heres hoping Mitch McConnell, the Washington open-borders globalists and, most importantly, the incumbent RINOs up for reelection in 2018 have many sleepless nights because of Judge Moores victory tonight.
In close quarters an attacker can push a slide out of battery, and you’ll never get a round off. Can’t do that to a hammerless revolver.
If you are in a close quarters encounter, you've just violated the first rule of close quarters combat...maintain situational awareness so you don't find yourself in a close quarters encounter. As for me, I'm much more concerned about running out of ammo than I am about my pistol being out of battery. There are countermeasures you can take to get back into battery. Reloading a revolver in the middle of a close quarters encounter ain't gonna happen.
Sorry, House. I often forget that the ‘/s’ is required posting protocol on some threads.
LOL Some establishment Trolls/BOTS are out and active now -— I should have checked your posting history to see that you’re not amongst that crowd.
You're not sufficiently TactiCoolTM. This will not do ...
Don't worry ... The average gunfight has two or three rounds fired. I think your revolver holds more than three rounds.
I agree ; it was a simple act.
But that being said i have always admired Moore and no one is perfect.
Perhaps it was a move to counter NRA support for Strange?
Anyway Mc Connell is the loser.
Corker is retiring
and mccain .... well God knows.
Flake should go also
And how did Alaska fall for Murkowski ??
Now Moore needs all to support him in the general!
Saw a short news item on TV - he said that even though the NRA refused to back him, he and his wife backed the NRA - there’s the context.....
I have both. Many of both. I carry a little 380 because of the weight. I would be as well served with a 5 shot .38 revolver.....plus my revolvers have NEVER failed to shoot. Can’t say that about my auto loading handguns.
Plus If you need more than 5 shots you’re probably already dead
