Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke said Monday that nearly one-third of employees at his department are not loyal to him and President Donald Trump, adding that he is working to change the departments regulatory culture to be more business friendly.
Zinke, a former Navy SEAL, said he knew when he took over the 70,000-employee department in March that, I got 30 percent of the crew thats not loyal to the flag.
In a speech to an oil industry group, Zinke compared Interior to a pirate ship that captures a prized ship at sea and only the captain and the first mate row over to finish the mission.
We do have good people at Interior, he said, but the direction has to be clear and youve got to hold people accountable.
Zinkes comments echo complaints by some White House allies that a permanent, deep state in Washington has sabotaged Trumps efforts to remake the government.
Zinke did not go that far, but he lamented a government culture that prizes analysis over action, saying: Theres too many ways in the present process for someone who doesnt want to get (a regulatory action) done to put it a holding pattern.

The answer is simple. Lay off EVERYONE. I’ll fly to DC and work for minimum wage until it’s reorganized.
By executive order eliminate government “worker “ unions. Fire them.

We keep hearing this from multiple departments. It is now 9 months into the presidency, why the hell are any Obama holdovers &/or people otherwise disloyal to POTUS still punching in everyday?
What is to be gained by keeping them on board to undermine you?

When the Chinese communists moved into a new area, Mao declared that at least 10% of the people were capitalists, and had to eliminated.
Use the same theory at 30% with government employees.

And the other two-thirds are EXTREMELY disloyal to President Trump.
It goes back to ancient times. What I heard about the US, was the federal government should deliver the mail, defend the country, and stay the hell out of our lives. Today, you could even quibble with delivering the mail.
I think private unions have outlived the it usefulness, but I agree with FDR on one thing, government employees should not be organized! I worked for a public employee union I California and I can testify to the bad things they cause.
Now more than ever the need becomes clear, abolish civil service “reform” and bring back the spoils system. Fire them all and hire decent Americans.
