They didn’t kneel during the anthem or while the flag was unfurled. They stood for flag and the anthem. Are you knickers wound so tight to be offended by that?

Well, with all due respect, standing arms linked in league solidarity is not the same thing as having hand on heart and singing the anthem.
I had kids who were athletes from age 7-22. Regardless of the sport or venue, prior to every event, the National anthem was played and or sung, and all players and spectators placed their hand over their heart.
As I have noted, Sunday was Gold Star Families Day—Of all the days to not show proper respect for the flag and our military...Sheesh!
Seems to me the league proves they are not patriotic unless they are receiving money from our tax-funded military.
Guess my knickers are wound pretty tight, but then I have many friends with kids serving—one of mine would be had they not been hit by a drunk driver who gave them a medical disqualification to a military academy...so yeah, I am offended by NFL.
Oh, and isn’t Dallas where the 6 police officers were killed by BLM shooter?...Of all the teams to show solidarity with BLM and supposed offenses by the legal system...Wow.
So then what is the knee for? Why do they wait to do it until right before the game, when all of us have to see it? The answer, in case you don't know, is because it's political, and they want us to see it.
NFL games are sold as "entertainment." But having political speech shoved in my face is not entertainment!
If they want to "take a knee" as an expression of their First Amendment rights, then they have six other days per week during the season, and all seven days off season, to do so without my having to witness it. And they should do so because:
THEIR POLITICAL SPEECH IS NOT ENTERTAINMENT FOR ME!
Sparklite, the fact remains, the taking of the knee is a symbolic gesture that makes a statement. It doesn't matter if it was during the anthem or not. Some psycho black Politian today took a knee in Congress. It wasn't during the anthem. Taking a knee is the new "hands up don't shoot."
We are naïve fools to believe that this gesture, because it wasn't during the actual anthem, is any different than Kaepernick's. It is a statement supporting the condemnation of America and it's people as a racist and oppressive.
These are the facts and 97 percent of scientists agree. The science is settled. Don't be a science denier.
They stood with their little arms entwined, still making a statement of defiance. Right hand over the heart. That’s what is acceptable.
