Kidega's likes included black nationalist Muslim racists like Farrakhan and Malcolm X.

There is the black nationalism and the accusations of racism. Especially when directed at the police.

Didn't want to hijack the the thread to be about the NFL.

The lousy NFL is just a symptom of our real problem— that we are in the awkward stage.

And that’s why we hear so little about the shooting.
Doesn’t fit the narrative.

Remembering the Dylan roof church shooting I remember that his history of schooling, employment, jobs, family, where he lived were all laid out within hours. This seems to be missing from this African. Where did he live ? Where is his family ? Where does he work and what’s his income ? Obviously made enough money to have a car, gun and gym membership. Seems funny all there is was his now missing very non informative facebook profile.

I noted early on the strong emphasis on Africa and all things Black, plus some disdain for the police. I’m not convinced about the Islamic connection, though. One of the books that he “liked” was the Bible. I think that any emphasis on Islam may have only been as far as it bolstered his black ideology.

Perhaps a strong clue may be in the languages he spoke: English, Arabic, and Acholi. Acholi is spoken by a tribe in South Sudan and northern Uganda. It is the home of the Lord’s Resistance Army, which is a peculiar Christian cult mixed with nationalism and perhaps some primitive African animism beliefs. I’m guessing that provides more of his background than Islam.

However, Roid Rage (aberrant behavior caused by overuse of steroids) has also been suggested. It wouldn’t surprise me if that is at least a contributing factor.
