From the Tennessean banner: "Antioch church shooting gunman shot himself after [being] confronted by an armed church member".

Yet again, a good guy with a gun stops a bad guy with a gun.

My church has armed security on Sunday mornings, but if it didn't, I'd strongly consider carrying.

The story I read is that an unarmed usher confronted the gunman and pistol whipped him. In the struggle, the gunman shot himself, but not critically. The usher then ran to his vehicle and got his pistol and disarmed the gunman and held him at gunpoint until the police arrived.

My internet pastor (Knoxville) is packing, and encourages all members of the congregation (especially the women) to do the same...primarily in response to the moslem menace.
