I think that you are dead wrong. President Trump has been working as hard as possible to keep his promises. The Republican congress has been ducking their promises completely. Regardless of your opinion to the contrary there likely will be severe consequences in 2018 if they keep it up. Their sham has been fully exposed... they were willing to send legislation modifying or ending Obamacare multiple times when they knew Obama would VETO it. Now that we have someone who will sign legislation we get absolutely nothing. And they and you are trying to blame President Trump for this? Astonishing!

It has become obvious that our Republican legislators are not who they say they are. And I say this as someone who has been a lifelong Republican and active and connected in local politics. This Obamacare repeal has been used as a ruse to get reelected. The Republican Party needs to straighten themselves out or they will once again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

What we now have in Congress are a bunch of professional Prima-Donnas who think exactly the way that you do... “Who are disaffected Trump supporter's going to vote for?” Well this next time around they actually are likely to get their butts handed to them by an angry electorate. Because of their arrogance and unwillingness to take the exaggerated cues from the lawfully elected president from their own party... they are fundamentally changing the way that voters view them. They can either choose to get behind President Trump or watch the whole game descend into Chaos.

I’m not saying he’s not working hard. I said he’s spinning his wheels, he’s working really hard, and gaining no traction, and accomplishing nothing.

It’s not my opinion, it’s historical fact. Last year riding Trump’s “drain the swamp” rhetoric Congress’ approval rating was in the teens, and 98% of them were re-elected. People love complaining about Congress, but they keep re-electing their guy. And nobody is mounting a serious primary effort. By this time in Obama’s presidency the Tea Party was well established, it gave the GOP a serious challenge and a lot of losses in the primaries. Of course they still had a return rate of over 90%, but there were some high profile outs. So far nobody is stepping up to give Trump supporters tired of the GOP a serious option.

I’m blaming Trump for not bothering to understand the situation. Our government is designed the way it is for a reason, the methods of accomplishing this with this government are well known. He’s not bothering to understand the design, and he’s not bothering to use the methods. He needs to re-read his own book and start making deals.

It’s not the way I think, it’s the way I KNOW. This is how the system works. This is how the system has worked my entire life. This is how the system has worked your entire life. This is how the system has worked Trump’s entire life. The difference between a president that gets stuff done (Reagan) and one who doesn’t (Bush 2) is knowing how to work the system. Trump will either work the system or the system will work him. And there will not be chaos, there will simply be another return rate in the high 90s while Congress waits for him to go. He might be changing how voters talk, but he ain’t changing how they vote. They are going to re-elect almost all of this Congress. Just like always.
