German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been re-elected for a fourth term in federal elections, exit polls suggest.
Her conservative CDU/CSU alliance has won 32.5% of the vote, remaining the largest party in Germany's parliament, according to the ARD poll.

Merkel had a coalition government last time and another coalition this time. Difference is last time was with the despised grand coalition partners SPD so this result is actually better for her.

Part of that is due to Angela taking all of the most popular positions of the other parties as positions for her CDU party. Probably part of the drop in voter participation is due to the fact that there is little difference in the top three parties, so why vote? While it may have been political brilliance, I think it has led to muddled governance. I think Angela is considered “right wing” but what Germany considers right and what the US considers right are different. I read today that the AFD party, which at least in “immigration” is right wing, is led by lesbian.

Traditional Germany will be gone in a lot less time than twenty years. Ten years at the most.
It would require a revolt by the populace to save itself, and that is not going to happen. The Germans have decided to march off en masse into historical oblivion. I guess it is to prove something to themselves. That they are not racist?
