A hot-headed teen got a slap on the wrist Friday for slugging a Manhattan principal who told him to turn down his music. Judge Edwina Richardson-Mendelson granted Luis Penzo, 19, youthful offender status and sentenced him to a conditional discharge — as long as he stays out of trouble for three years he’ll dodge prison and a criminal record. “You made us very proud,” the judge said of the surly teen’s compliance with a family therapy program. Penzo, who sauntered into Manhattan Supreme Court Friday wearing a white T-shirt and red gym shorts, offered no apology.

The judge is an ass.
Sounds like an illegal alien and the judge wanted to make sure he had no criminal record - could be wrong, but that is what this sounds like to me.

That picture just screams gang killer. He will be back in court soon or dead from a gang shooting. I wonder what the judge’s angle is? The principal could sue given the degree of injuries, but he would likely be dealt with if he tried. Great system we have in the multicultural America.

I wonder if the judge would have the same opinion, that the kid “made him proud” IF the kid hauled off and punched him in the face; leaving him with two black eyes and stitches?

Either he just occupied a seat in the sessions or the “program” is a charade facilitated by a charlatan.
Learned NOTHING.
Now what if the judge herself were on the receiving end of that violence instead?
