Luther Strange had a very young and attractive campaign consultant who ended up getting a lot of money from him for consulting. (Jennifer.)

She got divorced from her husband. She filed notice with the court that she was moving to Bham from Tuscaloosa with her shared custody son. She gave the address of the house she was moving to in court documents in 2011. (Luther’s neighborhood when he lived in Bham.)

It was in an extremely wealthy neighborhood. House valued at $450,000. But it wasn’t foreclosed on until 2012 and her “high bid” of $30,000 was accepted. Curious that she listed THIS ADDRESS in court papers when it wasn't even on the market!

A blogger wrote about that. A friendly to Luther judge ordered him to take the post down and another post saying Jennifer and Luther had an affair. The blogger refused. The judge put him in jail. He lost his home to foreclosure.

Fast forward: Alabama governor Robert Bentley is embroiled in an affair with a much younger married woman from his church. He puts the mistress and her husband on the state payroll.

The mistress basically begins to run the state. Lots of illegal things happen, not the least of which is the governor being caught on tape in a serious sexual conversation with the young lady.

He and she are getting dark money and open a safe deposit box together. Everyone knows that to get something on the Bentley’s desk it goes through Rebecca. So money flowed.

The same blogger who broke the alleged Luther/Jennifer affair broke the news of what the elderly Governor of Alabama was doing with his hook-up hottie Rebecca Mason. The Alabama media refused to touch it and gave the luv guv a free pass to continue raping the state.

Then the gov’s long suffering wife left her phone on record while she went on a beach walk and the lecherous old luv guv called his young mistress and proceeded to tell her what he wanted to do.

Someone unknown took the file to a gas station (on a jump drive) and called YellowHammer news, conservative news outlet in Alabama. (Former owner Cliff Sims now works for Trump.) Yellowhammer broke the story and then the chips all started falling.

But it took months for governor to get investigated. I mean, this just went on and on. Then Jeff Sessions was tapped for AG by Trump and Gov. Bentley took this opportunity to make a deal with Big Luther Strange.

Gov. appointed Luther to the senate and Luther called off the investigation into the gov and his mistress.

So it took even more months for things to be resolved. A new AG came in and got the gov. out, but a lot of people who did a lot of bad things walked because Luther called off the dogs.

The Gov. had members of his staff who knew about the affair targeted. He fired the head of the Alabama Law Enforcement, ALEA, Spencer Collier and accused him of stealing just to cover up his own crimes with his mistress and the dark money.

The gov attacked and sicked law enforcement on people who wrote about the affair. (This was blogger Roger Schuler and attorney David Watkins who broke the story first when no one else would.) Watkins owns a bank and Bentley had false investigations started on his bank.

There is soooo much more evil that went on and a lot of innocent people got hurt. And it went on far longer than it had to, all because Big Luther stop the investigation so he could be appointed senator.

Did you read Bodleian_Girl 's post at that link she provided in posts 58 & 59 about Strange? He sounds like a slimy, untrustworthy pervert like Bill Clinton.

As far as how good a Christian a person is, isn't it better to have truly honest politicians (not proven liars like McCain, who said he was for repeal/replace, until he wasn't), and politicians who REALLY don't want to see innocent babies murdered, and politicians who feel they should be honorable, and not steal people's hard-earned money in order to help the anti-American lobbyists who bribe them, while harming America, (etc.)?

Yes I did read it....sounds like a typical every day politician to me..it also sounds like a lot of Pastors and Priests...CEOS of companies and that of any in power of one degree or another. Unfortunately that is the world we live...it’s fallen and getting worse..and will get worse.

YOU WATCH ! I've got 5 tours in South Korea as a Control Tower Watch Supervisor , and at some of the Air Force's busiest Bases.
There's a "BIG PICTURE" and MANY LIVES AT STAKE, and you can;t even BEGIN to understand what our capabilities are.
Trump at the very least is smart enough to listen to his FIGHTING GENERALS.
But some of his advisors are selling him a load of CRAP, and trying AT EVERY TURN to destroy him. Strange will be one that is NOT on Trump's side.
He will be a GOPe puppet, and nothing more !

But all the sheeple will be shocked when Strange "SELLS THEM OUT" !
And YOU will have PUT Strange in to TORPEDO Trump's agenda !

Aside from all the personal stuff looks to me like the Gov. played his ACE and won. So did Luther....so it was a win win for them both.

I know you don’t like it...neither do I...but it is how things roll in high offices in ‘ALL’ Industries and positions of power to day....in fact it always has been so ...we just have nosy reporters today that ‘make money’ uncovering sexual infidelity...so it’s a win for them too.

Diversion isn't exactly a favorable trait when asked a direct question.

So let me say this...it's ‘Trumps call’ who he selects to put his nae behind...if he's wrong he simply moves forward and gets back to work.

Do you honestly think Trump isn't doing the best he can at this? I believe he's doing a lot more than his best...in a volatile climate with every force there is being thrown his way....including from his supporters here. As Christians WE should be supporting the man even if it "doesn't seem right in our own eyes" at the moment....things are not always what they appear to be......because only God knows the hearts and minds of men fully.

(By the way, you have a very low bar for public officials.   If some bigshot politician or business executive was fooling around with your spouse/significant other, would you still have that cavalier, who-cares, everybody-does-it attitude?)

Fortunately I won’t be voting for either as it’s not my state. But I will assure you deals are being struck ...and the man of the hour will be chosen ‘by the people of Alabama’...with or without Trumps support. As I understand it he would be fine with either.

Washington is all about ‘sides’ and changing sides....that’s what it does. The make deals and they vote...and what it boils down to... Our JOB is to pray for our leaders once they are in office and really before if we’re paying attention........that is where our power is. Stewing after the fact creates a lot of anxiety.

BTW...I am no stranger to what’s ‘on’ in N.Korea.
And I am aware of our military capabilites...try me sometime...enough to say we can play with their minds.

One more thing...You cannot ‘SAVE Trump’ from something you don’t know if or not it will be a mistake...or an appointment......Instead rejoice that he has done so much for this nation and people already....after all God chose Cyrus did he not.

You must not have read her post very good. It was not just a home life issue, it was a workplace issue too, and involved others, not just him and his wife.   (That was the same issue that got Bill Clinton impeached, changing history forever, so, the truth is, it really IS a big deal.)

Now, I'm sure you're a nice person, caww, but I really don't want to spend the whole night here with you, so enjoy your support of Strange, and I hope he gets his butt kicked, up one side and down the other.   We'll see what happens on Tuesday.

Regardless if he had the right or not... he did do just that...and it's now well after the horse is out of the barn and way down the road.....

This stuff goes on all the time...it's the very nature of politics and they are as ruthless and nasty as ever. It's a gigantic chessboard of players all trying to get their guy for the score. ..and they all play football while they go about making their moves. It's vicious and sometimes even deadly. But it is what it is.

I’m not married to Republican ‘conservatism’ as it is today....we’re separated currently... pending a possible divorce in the near future.

I also wouldn’t call it a cult of personality....though some can be quite zealous..rather a trust that God knew what he was doing when he rose this man to this office against all odds.

Conservatism runs fourth in line of who I am if you’re going by labels.
