Man who predicted world will end on Sept. 23 says nevermind

By Fox News

September 22, 2017 | 4:38pm

he end is still nigh — just not as nigh as it was earlier this week, a Doomsday writer says.

David Meade, who claimed the world is ending Saturday when a mysterious planet collides with Earth, is now backtracking on the calamitous claim.

Meade said the world won’t end on September 23 after all, but instead, Saturday will only mark the beginning of a series of catastrophic events to occur over several weeks.

“The world is not ending, but the world as we know it is ending,” he told the Washington Post. “A major part of the world will not be the same the beginning of October.”

Meade said his prediction is based on verses and numerical codes found in the Bible, specifically in the apocalyptic Book of Revelation. He said recent events, such as the solar eclipse and Hurricanes Irma and Harvey, are omens of the approaching apocalypse.

The significant number is 33, according to Meade.

One of my earlier memories was of walking to school and seeing this man dressed in white with a long white beard next to a huge tree holding a sign that said, “The end of the world is nigh.”

They’ve been saying this same old stuff for quite some time.

In fact, there were probably cave men going around saying the same thing. “Ooh! Ooh! Aah! Aargh! Eeeewwwww!”

The world as we know it ended with Johnson. The world as GOD made it will end when HE says it’s time. Not even Christ knows that hour or day. Matthew 24:36, in red so Christ own words. “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Not to split hsirs, but Jesus knows the day and the hour now. His limited knowledge on that issue was solely a function of his incarnation. The moment He resumed his position as the Second Person of the Godhead, his omniscience once again became complete.

There is no “Jewish calendar,” it is Yehova’s calendar for his sheep.

If you’re not his, I can see your objection.

There is not one word in any scripture about “not setting dates,” Yehova’s prophets set many dates, and so did Yeshua.

Matthew’s gospel sets Tishri 1 as the date for the gathering of Yeshua’s Bride.

Gibberish!

Yeshua carefully told his disciples exactly what day they would be gathered, by reciting the traditional idiom for Trumpets.

But they already knew that, because that is the reason for the feasts; to get the sheep used to the days on which Yehova’s events all happen. The had kept those days all of their lives, just as all of his sheep do today.

Matthew 24:36

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, butthe Father alone.

That is exactly the idiom that tells all believers that Tishri 1 is the day Yeshua will gather his bride.

Of course when it happens the whole world will see it, and will be gnashing their teeth, and plotting the death of their Pastors!

No objections, just a bit confused. Thank-you for your response and God Bless.

What is to be confused about?

The passage you cite is an idiom of Tishri 1, thus it does set a Biblical date (without stating the year, which itself is made clear by the other prophecies in Scripture)
