The British director says it's no accident that he made a historical film that seeks to dismantle Muslim stereotypes.
Stephen Frears returns to royal territory with the debut of his new film, Victoria & Abdul, about an unusual relationship the queen had toward the end of her life.
Judi Dench returns to form as Queen Victoria in the late 19th century.
Bored of her royal duties, and increasingly depressed at the world around her, she meets Abdul Karim (Ali Fazal), a handsome Indian clerk who is recruited to be a part of a Golden Jubilee ceremony.
They grow closer and closer, and he begins to teach the monarch Urdu. The royal court is horrified that she has taken to a lowly Muslim servant, and they take action to sabotage their intimate friendship and send him back to India.
On why he decided to make a historical comedy examining Britains relationship with the Muslim world, Frears joked, I thought to myself: What film would Donald Trump most like to see?' Its quite irreverent.

I heard someone give a review of this movie on the radio this morning. Even HISTORICAL movies are now affected by Hollywood's obsession with Trump.

I hope Abdul gave the queen a good rodgering. Quite so.

Dear Liberals, when low in numbers, Muslims always act as though they are kind, friendly, helpful, and trustworthy. It’s what they do. Reverse the numbers, and have a single white woman, queen or not, travel alone to Muslim territory, take up with the ruler, and see what happens...

This guys should know that this film is already not going to make that much because it is a historical-ish flick. If it was just left as that, I would eventually download it if I’m bored.
Now? Nope. He wants to push an agenda, so he can push off.
The irony is that Victoria would have allowed her generals to deal with Muslims that have terrorized London by landing a force at Mecca and raising it to the ground.

The stereotyping of Muslims as primitive, savage men who express their faith through killing, raping, and enslaving persists despite the media’s constant obsession to dispel it for 2 decades.
Why is that?
Because the Muslims keep renewing it every month with new atrocities and the so-called “moderate” Muslims (i.e. Backsliders) do nothing to stop it.
Stereotypes exist because they are historically accurate even if they aren’t really statistically accurate. No one ever stereotypes a Japanese person as stupid and lazy, or a white person as a great dancer.

Hey Frears - The Muslims are screwing up your country, don’t ya know? And over here we had 9/11. That’s all we need to know about Islam.

The funny thing is that movies used to use them as a safe place to put a certain type of humor, or a way to advance an unrelated story. Last Sunday I took my kids to see E.T. (1982) on the big screen, I had never seen the movie. A lot of the modern P.C. wasn't there. Divorce was a tragedy and it hurt the kids. And a kid dressing up as a "terrorist" for Halloween was not allowed because he wouldn't get two blocks.

This reminded me of "Back to the Future" (1985) where the Doc gets some needed materials to middle eastern terrorists who wanted him to build a bomb for them. These are two of the most seen movies of the current generation. In both cases, the story works. In the first, there's a hint of a joke because if E.T. himself were scene in public, he'd be stopped immediately. The second is because it was a plausible way for the Doc to get the resources needed for his time machine, but also a device to drive the story of Marty going back to 1955 by accident.

Wasn’t this same movie already made and called “Mrs. Brown”? This is exactly the same, but with Mr. Brown actually being brown.

So they knew back in 2015 that Trump was going to win...LOL. Heck, by the middle of 2016 they were selecting the cast.
Visionary, mighty visionary.

In the trailer it’s clear that Abdul introduces the Queen to the “Holy Koran”. On a FB post from Focus Features, I asked whether the Queen, as head of the Church of England, reciprocated and told him about the Holy Bible. No answer from them — but I knew the answer already.

Hey Frears, ever heard of “Rotherham”?

    The peaceful majority are irrelevant.
MOST Germans were not Nazi’s. The minority do all the killing.
Pamela Geller has a GREAT summation of this exact thing ON WHY THIS VIDEO IS DANGEROUS because it stresses the non-violent majority. They are always irrelevant.

Great book, worth reading. It’s free at project Gutenberg, I read it on my pad. That and the similar With the Malakand Field Force should have been required reading after 9/11 for the entire officer corps, NCO corps, State Department, and Intelligence Community.

The British director says it's no accident that he made a historical film that seeks to dismantle Muslim stereotypes. I can easily write the screenplay for a movie set in the future remaking Clockwork Orange and replace the government as Sharia,Sharia gangs raping, killing and vandalizing, prisons filled with "infidels" and Buckingham Palace long stripped and abandoned with the Monarchy in exile. Muslims are real slick. They take full advantage of those who are nice, prey on the vulnerable and gain strength through capitulation and surrender. They have a firm idea of the future and what Islam's place is in it.
