On Thursdays broadcast of the Fox News Channels Special Report, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) predicted that the Graham-Cassidy bill will receive 50 Republican votes and votes from a few Democrats.
Graham said, Ill be honest with you, Ive never been more excited than I am right now. We need 50 votes to get this over the finish line. The president has been working like a tiger. The vice president, Mitch McConnells going to give us a vote. And I can tell you this, if you want money and power out of Washington, you want to end the march to single-payer health care, this is your last, best chance.
This is the biggest change in health care in my lifetime. This is federalism versus socialism. I think were going to get 50 Republicans to vote for federalism. And Ill make a prediction, a couple of Democrats are going to come on board because their state does so well.

That might be true in general, but that's not the biggest problem with repealing Obamacare.
The biggest problem with Obamacare is that almost every one of its provisions -- even the most noxious ones -- has a sizable number of supporters among people who call themselves "conservatives" ... even right here on FreeRepublic.
If this happens the entire left will go bat s*** crazy for months.
Can’t wait for the tears from Chuckie.
Like I’m sure everyone else here, I don’t like Graham very much, but if he pulls this off, kudos to him.

I trust the 34 Republican Governors a lot more than I trust Congress.
Well of course it will get 52 votes it preserves Obamacare and bails out the private insurance industry and all the states that expanded their medicaid program.
True. I’ll take Graham-Cassidy, at least for now.
I listen to Rand Paul on Hannity the other day. It seems we are going to see a two tiered system. The one they are voting on is basically reformed Medicare.
The second action only takes an executive order, which will allow people to pay a premium to enter a shared plan across state lines.
For what it’s worth ... The states that expanded their Medicaid enrollments the most are the ones who are heavily opposed to this bill.
Agreed.
This is all BS.
I just wanted to add that the money behind destroying this Bill is massive. I have had the radio on for several hours, on a station that runs Conservative opinion shows. There has been a 60 second ad on, twice an hour, every hour, since 6:30 this morning, telling people to call their Senators and tell them to vote no on Graham-Cassidy. The amount of money the Left has must be astronomical.
Just need one democrat vote to crow, ‘Bipartisan”. g
Think the MSM will use that word? Nah
I think Manchin would be the only possibility.
