Whom would you believe is more accurate?
A government employee who gets paid regardless of outcome and faces no retribution for being wrong.
OR
A private sector person whose total career is on the line dependent upon their credibility and accuracy?
When I was younger there were a lot of jokes and even movies about “mad scientists”. No more jokes or movies about them because the government hired all of them.
