WASHINGTON A last-ditch Republican effort to repeal Obamacare picked up steam on Monday as a key senator opened the door to supporting the bill, which is popularly known as Graham-Cassidy.
The GOP got a boost when Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who was one of three Republican "no" votes in July that derailed the last GOP health care effort, said he might "reluctantly" vote for the bill if his governor supported it.
Democrats and health care advocacy groups opposed to the legislation, which include AARP and the American Heart Association, are taking the latest Republican push very seriously.
Republicans lawmakers face a tight deadline to get it done: They can only pass the bill using budget reconciliation, which lets them bypass a Democratic filibuster, if they vote before September 30.

Or his mini-me sponsored it?
LIAR!
Rand Paul is still not on board, though he should be. He needs to understand incrementalism ...
The GOP is a total waste..primary the rinos in 2018 and that might scare the rest... Hope Moore wins in Alabama
I suspect McCain’s support is because the governor has asked him to retire so he can appoint a successor. There was probably some implied threat to take action if McCain doesn’t retire. What that might be, I can’t say. But its odd that McCain would say something like his, “I’d reluctantly support it if the governor does.” Then, later that same day the governor was explicit in his support. McCain is in grief’s “bargaining stage.” “Just let me stay a Senator and I’ll support your position.” Retirement and death are one and the same as far as people like McCain are concerned. McCain is living, soon dead, proof that there should be term limits.
Incrementalism was not used to get ZeroCare rammed down our throats, and it doesn't need to be used to get rid of this damnable legislation. Just repeal it, and primary any GOP who votes against repeal.
Maybe that is the bargain for appointing MeAgain McCain as she has opined she is ready.
He “might”? Depends how he feels when if gets out of bed. IF he gets out of bed.

The Hobbit can’t seem to accept the concept of getting anything less than 100% of what he wants - even if his little temper tantrum hurts The President, makes the Senate look like an effective bunch of assholes, and hurts we-the-people.
“The Affordable Care Act is hereby repealed in its entirety, effective January 1, 2018.”
February terminal date
Obamacare is the guy that jumps off a ten story building and as he passes every floor yells, “So far, so good!”
OF COURSE it is in grave danger. It will fail, either by being repealed or by imploding when it hits the pavement.
Rand Paul is a liberal turd, just like his ol man.
“Maybe that is the bargain for appointing MeAgain McCain as she has opined she is ready.”
I am sick to death of family dynasties. I don’t care if the successor is a genius. Good politics requires new blood.
Caroline Kennedy, a perfect example, wanted to be appointed to Ted’s chair. She was eye-wateringly unprepared for real life. OMG...

Seriously? It’s been decades of incrementalism. Medicare, medicaid, the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA), the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) program ... bit by bit they strove for what passed as the ACA ... with the hope that it would fail and bring the country to “single payer.”
So, we can correspondingly reverse those programs piece by piece. It doesn’t have to happen in one fell swoop, nor would it. Clinging to any notion that the ACA and all its components would be wiped out in a single move is fantasy.

As Tallulah Bankhead said in that low-rent horror film;
“Die, Die, My Darling!!”
And at the very last second, Lucy will snatch the football away from the kick that Charlie Brown is about to deliver....
Still no “danger” to the Obamacare concept.
Oh yeah...great. The usual suspects. Both notoriously Liberal organizations that donate heavily to the Dems.
