A Christian numerologist claims that the world will end next Saturday when a planet will, supposedly, collide with Earth.
According to Christian numerologist David Meade, verses in Luke 21:25 to 26 are the sign that recent events, such as the recent solar eclipse and Hurricane Harvey, are signs of the apocalypse.
The verses read:
25: There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'
"'26: Mens hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.'
Sept. 23 is a date that was pinpointed using codes from the Bible, as well as a "date marker" in the pyramids of Giza in Egypt.
Meade's views are not endorsed by Roman Catholic, Protestant or eastern Orthodox branches of Christianity.

Not clear if He knew in His time on earth, but Jesus knows now for sure, ...
—
He said he didn’t know while he was here on earth. I trust him.
It may be that there were certain things he gave up to become a man here on this earth to save us. This may have been one of them.
Jesus lived the full experience here as a human. He was tempted like us but yet still lived a sin free life. To live the full experience of a human, he willingly left his place with the Father to become a man.
>>Not clear if He knew in His time on earth, but Jesus knows now for sure, ...<<
It’s interesting that when the LJC appears to John in Revelation 1 he says :A The revelation of Jesus Christ, WHICH GOD GAVE HIM to show his servants what must soon take place.
It MAY be something that was revealed after His ascension. Paul certainly has much to say about the day “(the Last Trumpet) and the hour (twinkling of an eye) which is sunset.
This is the most common rebuttal, but it is not definitive. Why was the Book of Revelations given? If “no man knows the day or the hour” is an admonition to ignore prophecy, then reading the last book of the Bible is fruitless. . .

The year, yeah. The age, not so much.
If the end didn't come during last year's World Series, I doubt it is involved in the schedule for the end of the world.
And when can we get back to stoning false prophets who predict the end of the world and fail?
>>And when can we get back to stoning false prophets who predict the end of the world and fail? <<
First, no one flat out says that Yom Teruah is the Rapture.
Second, the end of the world is not the Rapture. Neither is it the return of Christ to the earth at the end of the seven year tribulation. After the Tribulation, the world does not end because you will have the reign of Christ for 1,000 years.
But you can put money in the bank on this. There will always be those who ridicule Christians and scoff at the Lord’s return. Jesus , Himself, spoke about people like this in a most disdainful manner.
Rush made fun of this years ago, saying if God said the world was to end tomorrow, the headline would be, women and minorities hardest hit.

Good question!
The last question asked of Jesus was,
"Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?" And He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
There is not a single scripture instructing us to figure out the date.

EliRoom8,
You may be interested in this:
There two (2) “rescues/raptures/takings” still future to us. Here they are:
1) First one: The Great Multitude in White Robes (Revelation 7:9ff). This one takes place at the beginning of The Great Tribulation (Revelation 7:14). A third (1/3) of the stars fall from the firmament to the earth (Revelation 12:4, 6:13, 8:7, 8:12, 9:1). Yahusha (Jesus) DOES NOT descend from heaven to the earth. He is snatched up to his father’s throne room (Revelation 12:5, 7:9ff). Believers, those who are ready, are taken from earth to the throne room to meet him.
2) Second one: The Rapture of the Elect (Matthew 24:29-31). This one takes place at the end of The Great Tribulation, immediately after the distress of those days. All of the remaining stars fall from the firmament to the earth (Isaiah 34:4, 34:8). Yahusha himself descends from heaven to the earth to pick up the Elect.
The falling stars testify that these are two (2) separate events. They are separated by years.
More, the first one has not yet happened. A third of the stars have NOT YET FALLEN from the firmament to the earth. This proves definitively that the sixth seal has NOT YET been opened.
Blessings to you and your loved ones.
Dan :-)
I have Dr’s appointment on the 25th
If the world ends I will probably be caught in my bathrobe like Arthur Dent.
I hope not alone!
How rare? Try once in 7000 years according to what I have picked up. Myself, I give a very high probability that September 23 matches Rev. 12:1. Just another significant marker for this time in history. The salvation of souls is what is important now. God bless.
But the church is the bride.
It is NOT the ten virgins.
The virgins are going to the wedding feast of Christ and His church.
The church is already going to be there.
I’m not sure who the ten virgins are but the bride is the church.
Time to reread my 88 REASONS WHY THE RAPTURE WILL BE IN 1988.
