Another thought:

Once appointed, she can run as the incumbent.

Thus it’s like trying to oust an incumbent during that year’s primary.

“Once appointed, she can run as the incumbent.”

And can you imagine how McScrotum Neck would pump bucks into that election. It would be a warning shot to anyone who wanted to challenge her that the election would be just like Mississippi and now Alabama. The GOPe is in a battle for it’s very survival, and It will use every dime it has to stay in power.
I just could not believe that dumb $hit Moore would pull out his “Jesus Card!” I am a Christian, but I am also pragmatic enough to realize that “Jesus” isn’t going to get me elected, and that there are large numbers of decent people who will be turned off by my using that avenue. I am also of the opinion that The Holy Trinity or whatever Moore believes in, “punished us” with 911 for our “iniquitous” ways. Now the arch conservative Christians here will probably start waiving scripture after scripture at me for this post, but this is a secular government, and waiving a Bible while campaigning isn’t really going to get you the kind of support you need to win. Most people are fine with having Christian values as part of your repertoire, but they are not likely to elect someone they fear may use the Bible as a substitute for the Constitution. I await the Hellfire and Brimstone!
