Hal Kempfer, a noted international security expert, is getting a roomful of California public health officials and emergency responders to think about the unthinkable a nuclear bomb exploding at the port of Long Beach, about four miles away...News out of North Korea has created a mini-bonanza for local manufacturers of nuclear fallout shelters. But more important to the vast bulk of the population, Kempfer says, is having some rudimentary knowledge of what it means to shelter in place"...Sandy Wedgeworth, the public health emergency management coordinator, said she and her staff felt energized, not depressed, by what they learned from Kempfer...

This is obsolete already, saying they only have 20kt bombs. They have up to 250kt and that will wipe out most cities.

How would local government and emergency authorities cope with a small dirty bomb imported in a shipping container from North Korea?

Kim Jong Il Whatever has stated that he will send his fleet of submarines to rescue all the Democrats.
All Democrats in California are to walk out into the ocean until they reach a submarine.

Sandy Wedgeworth, the public health emergency management coordinator, said she and her staff felt energized, not depressed, by what they learned from Kempfer.
Gezzuz, only a corporate drone type or government stooge would make such an idiotic statement, that they're, "energized" after learning about the realities of a possible nuke attack.
Ms. Wedgeworth spews cow flop.

If youre not blown up, Kempfer retorts, without missing a beat, that helps. Why yes, I suppose that would. It's articles such as this one that bring home just how long it's been since the Cold War.

If not all of the cities! Oh...but wait! North Korea doesn't have nuclear weapons and couldn't deliver them! And all of those tests: only duds! They were fake!
[Oh, yeah--meant in irony and sarcasm, as was my previous comment. Not teasing you, though, Monty22002, but many who commented in the recent past.]
And don't forget Eyeran, the mean, little proxy of the other nation in the new Axis.

How would local government and emergency authorities cope with a small dirty bomb imported in a shipping container from North Korea? Those who survived would use their appearance on The View to attack Donald Trump, and the resulting wave of fame would allow him/her to launch a hugely successful blog.
