Passengers on a District Line Tube train at Parsons Green have reported panic on the platform after reports of a fire or explosion.
According to a metro.co.uk reporter at the scene people have suffered facial burns and a white container exploded towards the rear of the train.
She said people were ‘really badly burned’ adding that ‘there hair was coming off’.
The rear of the train filled with smoke and people were evacuated onto the platform at Parsons Green.
It is also being reported that people were initially told not to leave the station before an evacuation took place.

Just yesterday I was thinking that the religion of pieces has been rather quiet recently... Just a feeling.

It appears from reading the Twitter posts that the train car was engulfed by a sudden fireball that caused burns, but apparently no serious injuries.
The source was a white bucket inside the car.
A bucket in a train caused an explosion which ignited and burned the skin and singed the hair of travelers?
The plastic bucket even survived the “explosion”. It sounds like this was a chemical reaction popping off rather an an actual purposeful explosion. Or a prank. It sounds similar to what would happen if one put a pound of gun powder in the bottom of the bucket, then lit it off like a fire fountain. Lots of localized fire and heat and damage, a giant “whoooop!” as the high pressure wave expands, then it’s over.
I had the same thought. This 9/11 seemed very quite.
My first thought, too. Will be interested to learn the cause.

For the safety of innocent children and other people, muslims from the Middle East, North Africa (such as Morocco and Algeria), as well as other countries such as Indonesia, need to be profiled.
Other potential terrorists need to be monitored
The British have deployed their special forces in London to try to stop terrorist attacks, and they are to be commended for that.
Time for more teddy bears, candles, balloons, and hashtags.

Looks like the explosion was comparatively weak, thank God.
In the FoxNews.com article, it says that people were trampled - which caused more people to be injured than the initial blast (fireball).
Weak or not...the Brits have a problem...there is a bomb maker and bomb factory in the city...that bomb maker will learn...they better get him quick
