Motel 6 says its employees in Phoenix will no longer work with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents following news reports that its workers were reporting on guests they believed were in the United States illegally.
In a tweet about reports first published in the Phoenix New Times, Motel 6 said Wednesday: This was implemented at the local level without the knowledge of senior management. When we became aware of it last week, it was discontinued.
Employees at the Motel 6 at one of the locations near a stretch of other budget motels, discount stores and fast food chain restaurants refused to answer questions Thursday and referred all queries to corporate headquarters.
The news that Motel 6 workers in Phoenix were tipping off ICE agents immediately thrust the chain into the national immigration debate, with some detractors complaining about its vague and tepid statement.

I guess Motel 6 prefers Mexicans over Caucasians because rolling out the welcome mat for ILLEGALS is surely going to scare whitey away.
Motel 6: Sanctuary Motel Chain.
Great business model.
I won’t be staying there.
Nor many others now.
The illegals trying to call for a boycott of the motel chain is a canard. Now the motel chain is going to have to worry about a boycott from citizens who will regard their facilities as unsafe thanks to harboring criminals.
Calling is so 20th century anyway.

Aiding and abetting.
I haven’t stayed at a Motel 6 since mid-1980s. The last one I stayed at...somewhere in north Texas...reminded me of some third-world operation. AC barely worked and mildew smell got to you after three or four hours. By 4AM, I was up and ready to leave that hotel.
Easier to say you’re sorry than to ask for permission.
Employees don’t make much. No La Raza lawyer will organize a demonstration in front of one. They prefer the big high end chains.
Corporate America => advancing the Progressive cause every day in every way.
I don’t believe Motel 6 is American, in ownership. That is, majority ownership of the company itself.
Might be mistaken, but I don’t believe it is.
Motel 6 is owned by Hilton who is owned by Blackstone. The CEO of Blackstone, Stephen A. Schwarzman is a good friend of President Trump and chaired his economic council until recently.
Want some dope?
Welfare rat?
They’ll keep the light on for you.
The Motel 6 near the mall is *infamous* for being a cesspool of crime.
Welfare pays $65 a *night* for people to live there.
Can you imagine the house you could rent for $1800+, a month?
Unreal.
Oh.
Thanks. Did not actually realize that. I had been under the impression it was not American ownership.
Thank you.
Better yet—you make the call to INS—and tell them you work for the motel!
Let their corporate HQ tie itself in PC knots.
Dang it, Motel 6 just went back down from a 7 to a 1 in my motel/hotel rating book.
