If it were just silliness, it certainly wouldn’t have lasted or attracted so many highly-intelligent people or been practiced through the centuries.
The occult does indeed have power. Read God’s Word the Bible for confirmation. But as the Bible also says, God’s power is greater than any occult power, and He will destroy all of their “magic” in due time.
You might want to read some actual testimonies of those who were once in the occult. Sounds like you need to brush up on the subject.

The only “power” is in saying “look at me dressed like the devil! See, I’m with you guys in some way that would be super embarrassing if it came out”. And because they all have each other by the short and curlies, they all help each other. That’s basically it.
Its a rich persons version of Hells Angels watching you commit a violent crime. Gives them dirt on you. But killing people with a hex, etc...how childish to believe that.
This is the same mentality that believes in the “haunted” hotel that seems to be found in every trendy rustic resort town. Funny how the ghosts never get around to haunting the Motel 6 or the Best Western at the edge of town.

That kind of fiction doesn’t interest me much. Islam and Mormonism is the same thing. A following of a complete work of fiction having exactly zero to do with God or anything like that. It has no power the moment you see it as the childish game it is.
