For months Morning Joe has offered up a steady stream of apocalyptic condemnation of President Trump: his mental health has been explicitly questioned and comments on Charlottesville were blistered, with one panelist calling on his aides to resign en masse or be “forever tainted with the stench.” Just last week, Mika Brzezinski was calling Trump “unhinged,” claiming she couldn’t distinguish between Trump and Kim Jong Un.
All of which makes the praise for President Trump on today’s show all the more remarkable. Joe Scarborough led off by observing that “everywhere I’ve gone, people have been talking about Donald Trump’s sort of shift.” He praised the president’s “even-keeled” tweets and the “steadier” organization inside the White House.

This is the ratings game being played.......nothing more, nothing less.
Joe and Mika needed a boost —— the show was dying. So they attacked Trump non-stop —— as the MO to get better ratings.
And it worked.
So they’ll be praising Trump until such time as the ratings slump, again.
As a onetime reality TV star, Trump is a product of the ratings game....so he was onto the Joe/Mika MO.
Yeah, Trump is “evolving” and “growing”, meaning leftward ho.
It is so too late for these two assassins to feign a compliment, while really thrilled the Left netted a little talking point.
This “best week” was ALL TRUMP, shutting up the subversive media (including JoEEka) by owning the media with the people and the week with his version of Best Practices in meeting every possible need for facing off against two catastrophes.

That might be part of it. Part is also that they really think they've won something here with the President making nice with democrats. But I think the biggest thing is that they've been throwing everything they ca get their hands on at the President, trying to separate him from his voters. Nothing has worked. Maybe they think that praising him will infuriate his base.
If this tower of crap and his brain dead consort are praising Trump, this is not good.
I hope their accolades are misplaced.
I think they’ve witnessed the President flawlessly handle two major crisis, Houston and Florida, bypass Rinos to ensure relief funds are budgeted, and know that his efforts will be well received by the masses. They are covering their bases. Nothing more. In the past 20 days, Regardless of the liberal media onslaught and the sniping from Rinos, the people have witnessed trump looking unquestionably competent as the chief executive. The media cannot keep pounding the same crazy/incompetent narrative because it has been made demonstrably false. The Scarborough segment reflects the only logical pivot for them.
Ever notice that they don’t poll when things are going well for Pres. Trump?
The Deep State GOPe wants Trump to move towards the Democracks so they can position themselves as more “conservative” than Trump for 2018/2020.

The DIRCs (moderate dems or democrats in republican clothing) are willing to cede congress to the liberal wing of the democrat party in the next election. The DIRCs want Trump gone but realize that if they impeach him they will NEVER be able to campaign as some sort of alternative party ever again.
Thus, they purposefully failed to defend attacks on Trump re. Russia, allowed Comey to lie in order to gain appointment of a special counsel, allowed the deep state to plot, slow walked the president’s nominees and failed to advance Trump’s agenda (even in places where it corresponded with their own). They did this all because they are willing to let the liberal wing of their party come into power after 2018 to do the dirty work of impeaching Trump.
It’s their wing of the party and no upstart is going to take it over or expose it for what it truly is (a moderate wing of a uniparty). If they can’t control it, then they are more than happy to burn it to the ground. Oh, the country can go straight to hell in the process. Not like they cared anyway.
