Agree... And this is why even in the strict Mosaic Law it took 2 witnesses or more to bring down sanctions. God Himself knew the closet would exist, and the Law’s concern was to put a robust firewall between that and society.
Anyhow... The US may have erred by trying to delve legally into the closet. This engendered a pushback that went too far in the other direction.
This said there is still another possible firewall even if the US can’t yet legally adjust (as with a constitutional amendment or a sea change on the Court). It would be a new robust practice of Christian faith that has a robust place for the manly man. Wimp “Jesuses” are a huge problem today. The older church did not err with its knights errant, pardon the pun.
Orthodox rabbis often advise people to try and avoid their homosexual urges, even to marry the opposite sex. But in a personal conversation, they mostly feel private sex lives are for Gd to sort out.
Years ago I remember Dennis Prager relating a story when he was at puberty age at his yeshiva. He went to his father and talked about how the Torah says not to masturbate. His father told him, “Gd has so many more important issues to worry about. Don’t worry about it.”
Two issues affect us all in the homosexuality topic. 1) There are more gays and possibly increasing; we should look to cause and prevention with a clinical, fearless eye; and 2) there is a gay agenda by the leftists which we need to reflect onto them and stop. Wanting decent treatment is fine, anything more than that is heterophobia.
