I have a cousin in London that was diagnosed with this GBM IV 5 years ago. he’s still here... the tumor I guess is sort of in stasis, not gone, but not growing either...
A "pretty good" prognosis for this kind of cancer is what, an extra 3 months over the expected 6? I'm happy for him, but the truth remains that he should resign his seat.

Good observation. All brain tumor patients are on corticosteroids to reduce brain swelling. They will increase the dose as the tumor re-grows after debulking surgery and radiation. He will soon gain weight and his face will swell. In addition to the “energy” sensation is aggressiveness. Won’t be surprised if he pops off more frequently and with even more spitefullness.

You get increased energy when you have a doctor who will prescribe whatever it takes to achieve that level. He probably takes drugs to get up, drugs to make it through the day, and drugs to sleep. He is much, much too important to retire. ( Uhm.../ S)
Yes, both my wife and I got very snappy the times we were on them. A co-worker's wife was in a psychiatric ward for awhile because the steroids she was on had made her delusional. The 1956 film Bigger Than Life is about a man who becomes delusional and almost homicidal after becoming addicted to cortisone. Imagine how Queeg-like McCain is going to be eventually...
