The Southern Poverty Law Center list anti- Muslim as a hate group but I cannot find anywhere they list any Islamic group as a hate group. If you know of one, let me know. It seems obvious why groups like SPLC and ACLU never “disrespect” Islam as that often leads to a sudden demise.
According to the FBI—
a hate group’s “primary purpose is to promote animosity, hostility, and malice against persons belonging to a race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or ethnicity/national origin which differs from that of the members of the organization.”
By that definition, leftism as promoted on all our media is also a hate group. They are all ok with discriminating towards and violence upon Trump supporters.

Although Islam is an evil and destructive ideology, I don’t think this argument is sound. You need to demonstrate that these things are its “primary purpose”, not just that it promotes these things.
