What a dilemna for the Dems. They have no bench of young up and coming “stars” and they’ll have to rely on fossils like Uncle Joe, Comrade Bernie, and worn out Hillary. They have a racial divide in their ranks, which the MSM doesn’t cover. Blacks and Hispanics want to rule the kingdom while not wanting to share power equally. The old guard white liberal establishment has no intentions of giving up their stranglehold of the party apparatus. They still run the show in the Democrat Party! Meanwhile, they have lost tons of support among what was once their most reliable voting bloc, white working class people.
None of the old fossils nor possible new candidates like Kamala Harris can unify that entire coalition of voters. That’s why the Dems are going all in for “comprehensive immigration reform”, otherwise known to all of us as amnesty. Blacks will still vote in big numbers for the Dems plus Hispanics and Asians will vote in large majorities for them too. Of course the illegal alien vote will go big for Democrats. The big wildcard is the White vote. The Dems still need to siphon enough white votes to win nationally.
