The entire Florida Peninsula and points north are poised to experience Hurricane Irma after the storm hugged Cuba's northern coastline. Thousands of Floridians who evacuated the Atlantic cost to Gulf Coast areas found their safe shelter under direct threat from Hurricane Irma as the forecast shifted W Friday night and Saturday. Hurricane Irma's prolonged interaction with Cuba diminished its strength to Category 3.
Irma is forecast to increase in strength as it crosses the FL Straits. The Florida Keys experienced strong outer bands while Irma grazed the N Cuba coastline.

We weren’t allowed to fire boneheads off jobsites cuz they drive up our un-employment insurance rates.
We had to make them choose to leave. On it, if you have things piling up. S/N ratio already up.
:-)
Will be waiting to hear from you after the storm passes. Try to take care of yourself as well as everyone else. BTW, where are you in Florida?
I’m with you.
Everybody needs sleep. That one sorely needs it.
Pick the “earth” logo and pick 250 in the “Height” row.
You’ll see a great rendering of “The Wall” Irma is up against.
The upside to this is the jobs that will be around for the clean up and fix up.
For an answer, I'll point you here...

So there's a relationship. I think :-)
I’ve had it for some time but it is hard for me to understand what the forecasters know. Something is missing.
You did nothing wrong.
GR2 Analyst just now up. Two Waterspout Warnings ENE of Miami, one Meso, in and out, west of Key West.
There are differences of opinion on meteorological forecasts among professional meteorologists. Hurricanes are notoriously capricious. Forecasts have gone from straking the east coast of FL to running up the center, to the west coast in two days. I understand the desire to keep this thread meticulously sourced and informational, but there’s no need for the personal stuff. I assume a disruptive poster can be asked to leave, does Nautinurse or do you have that authority? If not you can certainly ping the admin mod. Just a suggestion.
I’ll decide when I sleep, thanks. Which will come soon. Doesn’t change what weasel posted has done.
Oh well, at least I tried. You’re making an enemy of an otherwise decent FReeper as far as I can tell.
Sorry, I will call out trolls when I see them. Especially unrepentant ones.

You are doing the right thing for the right people.
Thank you :)
Nobody has that authority.
People pretend to know all kinds of things.
Most are full of it.

As it is now bearing almost directly at Key West, I'd start working on deciding which gut rot beer you'll be drinking.
No, all he had to do was not make excuses and lie about his own posts on this thread. I hold that in low regard on any topic, not just hurricanes.
Going up the west coast of FL seems improbable to me, too. Historical data doesn’t support it. That doesn’t make it impossible but it does make for a certain level of incredulity.
