“Kind of scary the depth of knowledge that can easily be accessed.”

A tad off topic but this past year I purchased several items from Coldwater Creek.

About a week ago I received a birthday card from them, with a coupon.

How the heck did they know my birthday?

There has got to be some in depth service that is not a credit check with social security number that has great details on you.

For example, IRS knew by mothers middle name (or maiden name) and if I remember correctly where she was born. Of course, it was likely tied to my social security number with them. It was used to identify me when talking to them about my return.
