Far better, as in nowhere.
“To every member of the Senate I say this: The American people have waited long enough. There’s been enough talk, and no action. Now is the time for action,” Trump said
I was just putting your erroneous statement about politics bearing little resemblance in the two continents. Sorry that distressed you so.

On what grounds?

Based on my own views of the things she says and does. Sorry, I don't trust anyone from the DDR. I believe she said if we have it out with the Norks, she will remain neutral. I wonder what she would want if Germany had it out with the Russians? A libtard, like the libtards in the rest of Europe, UK, Canada and the US, are the ones who let tons of muzzies in, to do whatever it is they do.
I was there in the 80s, and many Germans were complaining about all the 3rd worlders in the country. I wonder if that is why there are so many Germans living around here? I get a charge out of seeing the Germans speak English with the natives. English is not either one's first language.
I would in no way classify Merkel as being a conservative, the way Americans define the term. Since I put in my 4 years in Germany, and went through Checkpoint Charlie on numerous occasions, that other poster is probably correct, that German and American politics do not have a lot in common. You might have a different opinion. So be it.

... and still no answer as to just what your interest in American conservatism might be, since you apparently find Germany superior. Suffice it to say, I don’t.

Who would you have rather seen elected US President, by the way?

Fact is Germany supports more sanctions that the US is calling for against North Korea. I have not seen anything about a position of an actual shooting war. Doubt many expect German front-line troops there.

I’ll tell you what I admire about Merkel... she is very committed to austerity which to me is one the the most important core values of conservatism you can get. Live within your means.

What I don’t like is the no term limits. It fosters arrogance. Like when Merkel took no advice in allowing so many refugees in. I can see why she did it from conservative humanitarian and economic reasons but like many from her own party, I think a million+ was over the top.

Germany being superior is an invention in your head.

I supported Cruz when he was the first to run. Then I supported Huckabee, whom Trump took the same positions on medicare and social security from. Positions Huckabee was pounced on in this forum for but never heard a chirp against Trump about it.

Then Huckabee showed no fire in the belly so Cruz convinced me back.

When Trump won the primary I supported and voted for him against Clinton. I must say, considering the flips in regards to things like trade with the EU, Russia and NATO, Trump has turned out to be for more of my positions than those who supported him early on. But they don’t seem to care so it worked out as far as I am concerned.

I'm wondering what you think living in Germany of Islam making inroads into Germany?

Does it bother you that some view you literally as pig from Qur'an 5:60? Or do you try not to think about it?

I'm not trying to be condescending. I'm wondering what you think.

I know there are a majority of Muslims living in Germany who do not believe non Muslims are pigs.

But I will you this: As long as they are not fanatical about harming me, I care little of what people think about me. I am funny that way.

Your angst may vary.

If Merkel is for austerity , that is good. Unfortunately, we have too many libtards. If anyone suggests austerity, they are voted out in the next election. If the politicians don't fix it, it will fix itself. I wonder if that will cause a world war?
By the way, when I was in California, a German couple came to visit my neighbors. He said he was dead set against reunification with the DDR.
As far as Merkel bringing in all those muzzies, I thought it was to work and take the place of the declining population in the workplace, to support all the retirees. I don't know how much humanitarianism is involved, but while German women are being groped, raped and murdered by these low lifes, Merkel doubles down on stupid, and wants to continue this madness. We all know what the definition of insanity is. To me, that personifies it. I guess like many American libtards, she and they, seem to favor muzzies over the people. I don't know why. Maybe they are globalists.

> The European press tosses around the term “far right” as readily as chimps fling their feces.

LOL... good one.

Like the chimps, they know exactly what they are doing.

far-right AfD (...) Beatrix von Storch — the granddaughter of Hitler’s finance minister,

That's some unbiased reporting there!

said, "I know there are a majority of Muslims living in Germany who do not believe non Muslims are pigs"

That is true. It's between 40-45%. You must know people that have been effected by this. Right? Such as, Rape, abuse, crimes and so on
When a person sees you as a animal they can do no wrong.
40-45% of all muslims are fundamentalists (Western Europe)

Fact is I have lived most my life in NYC and Berlin and swear on the Holy Bible (in the way that people do in court) to you that I have never had a personal problem with a Muslim and I don't know anyone personally who has (rape, abuse, crimes).

There are dangerous fanatics but nothing like 40 to 45 percent. In Berlin, it's probably 0.000001 percent.

Makes me feel kind of sad for the Fanatical Jihadists when the murder toll in Chicago for 2017 (which is far from over) is more than 400 times that killed in Germany in the modern era.

Got a YouTube video from Holland about that?

The difference between a thugs of Chicago and the 40-45% fundamentalist.

One are thugs with a thug mentality. The other some that are professionals with the objective, if you watched the video of creating there own laws.

Your be right that a very small fraction of the 40-45% are not killing. They are required to do other things within the laws to create Dar-ul-Islam (house of Islam)

You're statement that you don't know anyone that has been effected is an interesting one though. That is what I was looking for.
