We need photos, names and addresses of the SOBs who locked him up. Their neighbors and the nation at large should know who did this.
It wasn’t “government”, it was someone with a name.

Too many evil people hide behind their elected office or their job. They can’t be prosecuted because they were “just doing their job”, “just following the law”, “just made a mistake”, or whatever.
This needs to stop. People who are malicious in arresting, prosecuting, denying building permits, slow-walking approvals, etc., need to pay for it. Fines need to go to their victims. Maybe some jail time, depending on the degree of maliciousness.
