Steve Bannon, former White House chief strategist, and Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., have begun to examine potential replacements for House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis. in the event conservatives attempt to oust him from his leadership role, according to a report Wednesday.
Meadows was a leading figure in the push to remove former Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, back in 2015. Shortly after this effort, Boehner stepped down.

As soon as he said he wouldn't endorse President Trump, that was the clue. They made a mistake. Get rid of Ryan.

You mean Steve Bannon. There is slim chance Steve Bannon will have any chance of replacing Paul Ryan. His task is to destroy Ryan's chairmanship and open up the position to a true conservative that will organize the real change Americans elected Trump to make. I have heard Newt Gingrich's name mentioned. That is something I would support 100%.
Would Bannon be trying to get himself in?
