You prefer we have continuing resolutions followed by government shutdown melodramatics every 3-6 months?

It does keep the growing debt front and center.

Without these debates we’d never hear the size of the debt.

At the very least, it would eliminate a big outcry every time it was raised.

Continuing Resolutions and Debt Ceiling are entirely separate matters.

They are not linked in any way.
