Just talked to her, she's been on the road for an hour or so and says "the Turnpike is completely bumper to bumper... I hope I didn't make a mistake!".
I just walked around to my immediate neighbors' houses to see who all is staying put... pretty much everyone is staying. I feel a little better knowing there will be plenty of folks around... especially for later... and ex-NYC cop next door, a gun collector across the street.
I used to live there.

As a youth I rented near the Atlantic in Mia and Laud. Didn’t care about the prop and never left.
Beach side when the bridges go up they stay up and if there is no damage to your place don’t matter cant get back home till they go down.
As an owner could never afford to live near the water.
Being a Coastie,always ready, our motto, I had supplies ready 365 and shutters for the house.Never scrambled. Never left stayed through I don’t know how many(68 till now).
