Berkeley replied in an e-mail to Townhall that given recent, violent incidents in the City of Berkeley and Charlottesville, the University of California Police Department (UCPD) recently completed a revised security assessment for the September 14th event featuring Ben Shapiro.

Security Assessment my butt. This serves two purposes:
They can state that the audience for conservative speakers never gets anywhere near as high as the audience for leftists do they can use that to block further speech requests.
They can stuff half the auditorium with communists (AntiFa) to shout down and intimidate the speakers.
Free speech for me but not for thee.
Bet you can’t find a bicycle lock on the shelves anywhere near Berkley. That’s how “free speech” is handled by the Left.
So, they can hold a meeting but with no crowd, well just a few in the smallest auditorium available? Seems rigged and bet they still will have challenges with the protesters. And rigged so only a few participants, who will be outnumbered by protesters. Rigged.
Are these restrictions content neutral?
