BTW, "paying gang members to keep the peace" didn't work so well for the Rolling Stones who hired the Hell's Angels for security guards at the Altamont, CA concert as some of them assaulted a band member, some of the audience, and four people were killed including one that was stabbed to death.

Actually, the Hell's Angels were the one's who stopped the AH waving the gun around in front of the stage...If not for the Angels, there could have been lots of dead people. Btw, the Angel who took out the AH with the gun, was acquitted. ☺
