President Trump defended White House chief of staff John Kelly on Friday in light of a report saying he was growing irritated with some officials.
"General John Kelly is doing a great job as Chief of Staff. I could not be happier or more impressed — and this Administration continues to get things done at a record clip. Many big decisions to be made over the coming days and weeks. AMERICA FIRST!" the president said in a tweet.

That’s aimed at the New York Times hit piece saying the President and Kelly are at odds.
The leaks have ground down to a near halt.

They were most likely used as “canary traps” to expose high level leakers.
Running the country from the WH is much different than running Trump Inc. from Trump Tower where everyone in leadership was a trusted associate or family member, so he needed someone like General Kelly to run interference for him. Done. I suspect Trump sees the same kind of discipline and organizational skills in him that he admired in military school.
For all the Reince bashers, you’ll note that he’s kept his mouth shut since he left.
Trump needs to stop reading the NYT. He reacts immediately to a BS story from them but has said nothing about the story that he is getting wobbly on the wall funding that showed up in Breitbart. He must know his base would be a lot more concerned about that then some idiotic story in the NYT.
