This is an unclear statement. Trump had his reasons for supporting Strange during the primary. He has not supported him in the general election, nor has Strange’s support for McConnell’s positions in direct opposition to Trump’s statement & agenda suggested Strange is Trump’s candidate.

If you are suggesting that the Dems help for Strange will help Moore, that may be true.

Actually... that's kind of brilliant. Broadcast to AL Dems that Trump supports Strange. Run the video of Trump endorsing Strange. Some Dems will thus support his opponent, Moore. Further, the attempted involvement of Dems in the GOP outcome will get more Conservatives off of their butts and out to the ballot box, and voting for Moore.

Never thought of that. Team Trump knows the Dems will endorse Strange. Trump endorses Strange in a hope the Dems stay home on the general election. Moore wins.
