Panic driven spike?
“Panic driven spike?”
Human nature.
The gasoline pipeline from Texas to the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic won’t be open again until Sunday, causing price spikes here in northern Virginia and local libs to whine and bitch.
I know it’s Labor Day weekend, but it’s only up 15-20 cents, and it’s only for a short time. Knock it off with the incessant complaining. You’d think we were in Venezuela to listen to some of them.

Could be that, plus the shut-down refineries.
Perhaps it is panic driven but the market is a game. The players are playing today driving prices up hoping to get out before the lesser fool is left holding the bag.
