I lived in Victoria Park area in the 70’s 80’s and liked to go to Holywood vs Lauderdale Beach for the bars and walk-way right on the ocean.
Lots of Canadians back then not sure about now.
Sweetheart deal for a Jimmy Buffet themed hotel on the beach has helped chase away locals, turned the place into a crowded mess. Nice new parking garage, but the trade off may not be worth it.

Traffic between the beach and A1A on those small roads was always wicked. Many two cars couldn’t pass by each other.
