Federal judge blocks enforcement of Texas' 'sanctuary cities' law

A federal judge blocked enforcement of much of a “sanctuary cities” law in Texas on Wednesday night, just days before it was set to go into effect.

U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia blocked portions of Senate Bill 4 (SB 4) requiring local law enforcement departments to comply with federal requests to hold unauthorized immigrants in custody. Also blocked: a provision that stopped local departments from implementing policies that would “materially limit” enforcement of immigration laws, the Dallas News reported.

Judge Garcia was born in Jim Wells County, Texas.

That was where the notorious "ballot box 13" was packed with over 100 names from the grave yard (in alphabetic order in the same handwriting) to allow Lyndon Johnson to steal the senate election from Coke Stevenson in 1948.

On February 26, 2014 in San Antonio, Garcia overturned the Texas ban on same-sex marriage, ruling that the prohibition is unconstitutional and stigmatizes the relationship of gay couples in the conservative state. He stayed his ruling pending appeal.

Lets get on with the appeal.

This political hack clown judge needs to realize that judges aren’t supposed to legislate. That’s what he’s trying to do. The president has the authority for executive order. This liberal jerk doesn’t. He’s been living on the taxpayer’s dime for way too long.

The judge didn’t even try to justify his decisions based on the law.

Bingo! we have a winner. He made no legal argument for his position.

Governor Abbott and the TX AG will have them for lunch.

Garcia? And they wonder why Americans don’t trust minorities to do the right thing when they get put in positions of power. They far too often abuse that power and trust given to them.

They need to be punished severely; like jail time for a significant amount of time. The judge is clearly being a SJW and not a judge going by the law.

Many minorities believe when whites become the minority; whites will automatically start being treated like second class citizens because they think they are victims due to their race/ethnicity and minority status. It won’t happen if the rule of law is followed and if it isn’t then America will be no more anyway. White are a minority in California and so far that hasn’t happened.

It doesn’t matter. Remember the Muslim ban? The judges there didn’t make any legal arguments either. The left has torn up the rule of law to oppose Trump. Either we purge the court system under Trump or the law is whatever a leftist judge feels like it is.

You’re probably right. It’s not always clear which one is the problem. Sometimes both but always leftist.

How can anyone possibly know that without the actual text of the decision?

If the Law is not cited why should the order be honored.

We are a nation of laws, cite them or shut up

Judge Garcia needs to allow criminal illegal aliens to live in his home. He should have that much compassion.
