BLS: Americans Spend More on Taxes Than Food and Clothing Combined

I was looking at your tagline there. I was reading the other day how Obamas brother and Obamas grandmother both said he was born in Kenya and it occurred to me Obama MUST have said it himself that he was.

You saw this before, right?

I was thinking about this logically. Why on earth would his literary agent assume he was born in Kenya and print that? He has an American accent, at least I assume he did back then. If for some strange reason she thought he was born in a foreign country, why would she pick Kenya of all places? It makes no sense. The only 4 things that could have happened, that would make sense is:

1. Obama told someone else he was born in Kenya and that someone else told the literary agent.

2. The literary agent overhead Obama or someone else say Obama was born in Kenya

3. Obama himself told the literary agent he was born in Kenya.

4. The literary agent looked up Obamas school records and saw he put down that he was born in Kenya.

The first two I would say are unlikely because the literary agent most likely would have double checked first unless this literary agent is a moron. The last two are the most probably explanations which would mean one of two things:

1. Obama WAS in fact born in Kenya.

2. He lied, and if he lied he most likely lied twice. Once to Harvard and once to the literary agent who after checking his school records most likely would have asked him to make sure.

“Food is cheap”, but seems to be increasing in cost at a rate higher than income (partly given that income is not increasing at all). The only way we maintain our cooking/eating habits is through VERY careful food shopping, using coupons, buying loss leaders, and stretching the money as far as possible. And we almost never eat out or get food from restaurants or carry-out.

When you combine the increasing taxes, cost of health insurance (which we don’t even use, since we cannot pay the co-pays or deductibles), and the increasing costs of utilities, we are very challenged to maintain our standard of living over the past few years. We do not buy clothes, unless absolutely necessary. No such thing as impulse buying at my house.

“Much ado about nothing”... might apply for your situation, but I suspect not for most of the “middle class”.

That Americans spend less on food and clothing is less of an indictment of the government and more of a tribute to the accomplishment of the American Farmer.

Food cost has declined more than 40% in the last 30 years.

And, just as a reminder here, our taxes buy a fair amount of food and clothing (and housing, and this and that) for those that don't buy food and clothing, here and abroad (and their housing, and this and that).

Federal, State, and local governments consume half of our incomes. Half.

The tax burden is absolutely outrageous. It really is. As much as 40% of an average person’s income goes to fed and state income tax (without deductions). Then there’s all the other taxes, “fees,” etc. Yet, no matter how much they rake in, it’s never enough for greedy politicians and their assorted hangers on and big donors.

That is embarrassing. The Founders are rolling over in their graves that we are such dumb sheep. The Middle Class taxpayers are being robbed by government, so that those in the government can retire rich and then collect their cushy retirements for 20+ years. Shameful.

Another author who had a bio printed in the same pamphlet said he had to submit his own bio, I suspect that Obama really wrote that one.

Probably.
I don’t know where he was born, we have never seen a legitimate birth certificate.
We do know he used a SS# that was not his. In fact, he used several, but 042-68-4425 was the one he used the most.
It does not matter, his foreign national father makes him not a natural born citizen.
Simply being born here in not enough to make one a natural born citizen.
The Uniparty wants that to be the standard so they could run more ineligibles.

Yeah, I’m leaning toward the lying thing as well. Lying is like a religion to the left and as we have seen, lying to millions of US citizens came as no problem for “The One” so lying to a few people at Harvard is a cakewalk to him by comparison. Can you imagine if Trump did stuff like this? The left and RINOs would have been drawing up impeachment papers his first day in office.
